For anyone that doesn’t know, these are the “irons”.  A flat head axe and a haligan which fit together snugly and can be carried together as one piece.  They are used to force open locked doors most often but the haligan especially has dozens of uses.  Our academy instructor used to say it had 101.
Well yesterday I found another use for it and it literally saved my ass from falling into a basement fire.
